Brett Moffitt and the No.02 Destiny Homes Our Motorsports Chevrolet started thirteenth and brought home a seventh-place finish after a successful day at Darlington Raceway. The Our Motorsports program continues to show impressive speed and talent throughout the entirety of the race. Both of the Our Motorsports cars fought their way to impressive finishes in the Steakhouse Elite 200. Tanner Berryhill and the No. 23 Realty Connect Our Motorsports Chevrolet started thirty-sixth and finished twentieth.
In the first stage of the race, Moffitt and Berryhill fought hard during the first stage. The No. 23 car of Berryhill came into the pit for fuel and tires during the first pit stop of the race. The No.02 of Moffitt came in for four tires and fuel during that stop. Early into stage two, Moffitt and Berryhill were running in the sixteenth and eighteenth position. Both cars battled to tame the Lady in Black. At lap ninety, Moffitt collected the eighth position. During the final stage, Berryhill began his race from the eighth position and Moffitt eighteenth. Soon after the green flag was waved during the final stage, Moffitt fought his way to thirteenth. He continued climbing his way into the top ten. This resulted in Moffitt’s No.02 Destiny Homes Chevy finishing the race seventh and Berryhill’s No.23 Realty Connect Chevy finishing twentieth. This is the fourth top ten finish for the No.02 team. The Our Motorsports group looks to Dover to continue the momentum.
Driver Quote:
Brett Moffit, “Really happy to come away with a seventh-place finish today. We fought a loose racecar most of the race, but Joe and the guys kept working on it. Long runs were our strength today so we were hoping for the final stage to go green. But we’ll get back after it next week with our Destiny Homes Chevy and build on this momentum.”
