In one of the biggest races of the 2024 season, Our Motorsports driver Anthony Alfredo showed up and showed out with one of the most explosive performances of his young career. Concluding Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 event in a career best of 3rd place, Alfredo turned heads across the NASCAR world all weekend. Throughout Saturday’s event, Alfredo held his ground with the top running drivers taking the lead three times and even leading the pack for four laps. This win comes as not only a career record of Alfredo’s first top three finish, but as one of the highest places finishes an Our Motorsports driver has ever seen as well.
Following the momentous win in Saturday’s event, Alfredo made his way into the lineup of Sunday’s Talladega Cup Series event, once again concluding with an impressive 6th place finish. The back to back victories add to the already explosive year from Alfredo, who continues to push the pedal to the metal in showing consistent improvement each week.
“This was certainly a great race for us,” Alfredo said with a smile on his face. “Drove to the front, led a lot of laps, had good speed all day long, and put ourselves in position at the end,” Alfredo stated following Sunday’s Cup Series event. “New best Cup Series finish for me though. Just pumped about it really.”
The record-setting weekend in the Xfinity, and Cup Series sets the tone for this weekend’s A-Game 200 event at the Dover National Speedway in Delaware’s capital city. Alfredo, living up to his underdog mantra that has carried this team throughout the season, embraced all of the vibes around his commanding victory in a weekend for the ages.
“Oh it’s awesome,” stated Alfredo. “This was such a great weekend for Our Motorsports and our five team on the xfinity side.”
Although there is a long way to go, following the electric weekend in Talladega Alfredo currently stands at twelfth overall in the Xfinity Series standings, the last potential spot in the Xfinity Series playoffs in November. Tune into this weekend’s race in Dover, Delaware as Alredo looks to capitalize in the Xfinity Series Ag-Pro 300 event on Saturday, April 27th at 4pm.
