Alfredo continues to turn heads in explosive 2024 season

“In this case it was just about staying skidmark free thanks to DUDE Wipes,” stated Our Motorsports driver Anthony Alfredo, who in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Dash for Cash did exactly that. In the race, Alfredo earned his third straight top-ten finish and a check that seems to be worth more than just money.

“We came into this race as the underdog, I’m sure a lot of people ruled us out,” Alfredo commented. “Just to be a part of it was awesome, let alone actually win it is still unbelievable.”

Although the victory comes as a huge statement in the so far breakout season for Alfredo, the win seemed to grab the attention of headlines that focused on what a $100,000 dollar paycheck means for a small team such as Our Motorsports. With a staggering total of only thirteen employees in the shop, and a mere seven to eight pit crew members each week, Alfredo has managed to overcome deficits to compete at the highest level with an underdog story unlike any the sport has seen.

“I think people are overlooking it because we’ve been running so well,” Alfredo added. “We don’t have any technical support, no team alliance, we’re all by ourselves out there and just doing a lot with a little. We just have a small shop with not alot of stuff and not a lot of people but we’re all dedicated and hardworking and want this more than anyone.”

This speaks volumes for the dedication and mindset that Our Motorsports has carried with them all year allowing them to show up and show out week after week with little to no materials. To a smaller team, a big paycheck only opens more doors in providing more assistance, technology and overall momentum which hints at nothing but bigger and better things to come down the road.

Adding to his already star studded season with another top ten NASCAR finish, Alfredo commented on what his streak of recent success means to him, let alone his underdog story as a driver.

“My resume consisted of 12 truck races and before that late models in K&N so very inexperienced with no track time prior to the green flag,” stated Alfredo. “Scaling back to a one car team and them believing in me means alot. We have all our eggs in one basket here but it’s paying off.”

With big finishes for the small team growing with each passing week, the future continues to look bigger and brighter for Our Motorsports. Currently ranking tenth overall in the Xfinity series, Alfredo has his eyes set on growth and performance with the goal of adding to his hot streak with a win at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina next Saturday.

“Start small and grow bigger, we’re certainly off to a good start,” Alfredo added. “We earned a top ten and a big paycheck which is really awesome, now we just wanna go do that again at Darlington.”
